حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهَا قَالَتْ: " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا فَاتَهُ الْقِيَامُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، غَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنَاهُ بِنَوْمٍ، أَوْ وَجَعٍ، صَلَّى ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ النَّهَارِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that if, on any day, due to overpowering sleep or illness, the Tahajjud prayer was missed by the Prophet (ﷺ), then the Prophet (ﷺ) would offer twelve rak'ahs during the day.
