It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade continuous fasting. I asked the Prophet (ﷺ), "But you observe fasts in this manner?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "I am not like any of you. I spend the night in such a state that food and drink are provided to me."
