حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ تَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ صَبَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ، يُخَلِّلُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ أُصُولَ الشَّعْرِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
The details of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) ritual bath after major impurity (ghusl janabah) are narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) as follows: The Prophet (peace be upon him) would first perform ablution (wudu) as for prayer, then he would run his fingers through the roots of his hair, and pour water over his head three times.
