حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْفَرَعِ مِنْ كُلِّ خَمْسِ شِيَاهٍ شَاةٌ، وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَعُقَّ عَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةً، وَعَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَيْنِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us that for a boy's aqeeqah, two goats of equal value should be sacrificed, and for a girl, one goat. He also commanded that for every five, one goat should be sacrificed.
