Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنِ شُمَيْسَةَ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهَا إِنْسَانٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا تَقُولِينَ فِي نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ؟ فَقَالَتْ: " نَهَى نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ " (٤)، •
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade sleeping in a water jar.
