Translation

English translation

Muhammad narrates that once Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) stayed at the house of Safiyyah Umm Talhah al-Talhat, and saw that some girls, though having reached puberty, were performing prayer without head coverings. So Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "No girl should pray without a head covering." Once, the Prophet (ﷺ) came to my house, and at that time there was a girl under my care. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave me a sheet and said, "Divide it into two parts and distribute it between this girl and the girl under the care of Umm Salamah, because in my opinion, both of them have reached puberty."
