Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْبِتْعِ؟ فَقَالَ: " كُلُّ شَرَابٍ يُسْكِرُ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ " وَالْبِتْعُ نَبِيذُ الْعَسَلِ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a person asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about honey wine. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Every drink that intoxicates is forbidden.
