Translation

English translation

A woman says that once I went to the service of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and saw a spear placed in her house. I asked her, "O Mother of the Believers! What do you do with this spear?" She replied, "It is kept for these lizards and I kill them with it, because the Prophet (ﷺ) narrated this hadith to us: When Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire, there was no animal on the earth that did not try to extinguish the fire except the lizard, which was blowing on it (to ignite it further)."
