حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: نُبِّئْتُ عَنْ دِقْرَةَ (١) أُمِّ عَبْدِ الله (٢) بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ، قَالَتْ: كُنَّا نَطُوفُ مَعَ عَائِشَةَ بِالْبَيْتِ فَأَتَاهَا بَعْضُ أَهْلِهَا، فَقَالَ: إِنَّكِ قَدْ عَرَقْتِ فَغَيِّرِي ثِيَابَكِ، فَوَضَعَتْ ثَوْبًا كَانَ عَلَيْهَا، فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِا (٣) بُرْدًا عَلَيَّ مُصَلَّبًا، فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " إِذَا رَآهُ فِي ثَوْبٍ قَضَبَهُ "، قَالَتْ: فَلَمْ تَلْبَسْهُ (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
Daqrah says that once we were performing Tawaf with Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when someone from her family came and said, "You are sweating, please change your clothes." So she took off her upper garment. I presented my sheet to her, which had a cross mark on it. She said that whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) saw a cross mark on any cloth, he would remove it. Therefore, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not wear that sheet.
