حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ وَلَدِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كُلُّ نِسَائِكَ لَهَا كُنْيَةٌ غَيْرِي، قَالَ: " أَنْتِ أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللهِ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah! Every wife of yours has a kunyah (honorific name) except me?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Adopt your kunyah after your son (nephew) Abdullah."
