Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِي (٢) رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُكِ إِذَا كُنْتِ غَضْبَى، وَإِذَا كُنْتِ رَاضِيَةً، إِذَا غَضِبْتِ قُلْتِ: لَا وَرَبِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَإِذَا رَضِيتِ، قُلْتِ: لَا وَرَبِّ مُحَمَّدٍ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say to her: "When you are angry, I can tell that you are angry, and when you are pleased, I can tell that as well. When you are angry, you say 'No, by the Lord of Ibrahim,' and when you are pleased, you say 'No, by the Lord of Muhammad.'"
