Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ (٢) عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ، فَيُخَفِّفُهُمَا حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَشُكُّ، أَقَرَأَ فِيهِمَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ أَمْ لَا؟ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform the (Sunnah of Fajr) so briefly that I would wonder, "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) even recite Surah Al-Fatihah or not?"
