حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّهْ، كَيْفَ كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ؟ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ يُصَلِّي ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً: تِسْعًا قَائِمًا، وَثِنْتَيْنِ جَالِسًا، وَثِنْتَيْنِ بَعْدَ النِّدَاءَيْنِ " يَعْنِي بَيْنَ أَذَانِ، ، الْفَجْرِ وَبَيْنَ الْإِقَامَةِ (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray thirteen rak'ahs at night: nine rak'ahs standing and two sitting, then upon hearing the call to the morning prayer, he would pray two short rak'ahs.
