Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجِهَادِ؟ فَقَالَ: " بِحَسْبِكُنَّ الْحَجُّ " أَوْ قَالَ: " جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I sought permission from the Prophet (ﷺ) to participate in jihad, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Your jihad is Hajj."
