Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْتَحِنُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ إِلَّا، ، بِالْآيَةِ الَّتِي قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ عَلَى أَنْ لَا يُشْرِكْنَ} [الممتحنة: ١٢] وَلَا وَلَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to test believing women with this verse in which Allah Almighty said: "When believing women come to you."
