Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), when a solar eclipse occurred, the Prophet (ﷺ) performed ablution, gave the order, and the announcement was made that the prayer was ready. Then he stood up and performed a long standing in prayer, and most likely recited Surah Al-Baqarah in it. Then he performed a long bowing (ruku’), then after saying "Sami’ Allahu liman hamidah" he stood for quite a while as before and did not go into prostration (sajdah), but instead performed ruku’ again. Then he went into prostration, and in the second rak’ah he did the same, performing two ruku’ in each rak’ah. Then he sat in the final sitting (tashahhud), and during this time the solar eclipse ended.
