حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمُرَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ؟ قَالَتْ: " رُبَّمَا رَفَعَ، وَرُبَّمَا خَفَضَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Yahya bin Ya'mar says that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Tell me, did the Prophet (peace be upon him) recite aloud or silently?" She replied, "Sometimes aloud and sometimes silently."
