حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً قَالَتْ لِعَائِشَةَ: أَتَجْزِي إِحْدَانَا صَلَاتَهَا إِذَا كَانَتْ حَائِضًا؟ قَالَتْ: " أَحَرُورِيَّةٌ أَنْتِ؟ قَدْ كُنَّا نَحِيضُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَا يَأْمُرُنَا بِقَضَاءِ الصَّلَاةِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Mu’adhah (may Allah have mercy on her) said: A woman asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), “Does a menstruating woman have to make up the missed prayers?” She replied, “Have you become a Kharijite? In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when our ‘days’ would come, we neither made up the prayers nor were we commanded to make them up.”
