حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ: أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، كَانَتْ تُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَهِرَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ وَهِيَ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ. قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: مَا شَأْنُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ: " لَيْتَ رَجُلًا صَالِحًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِي يَحْرُسُنِي اللَّيْلَةَ " قَالَتْ: (١) فَبَيْنَا أَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ إِذْ سَمِعْتُ صَوْتَ السِّلَاحِ، فَقَالَ: " مَنْ هَذَا؟ " قَالَ: أَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، فَقَالَ: " مَا جَاءَ بِكَ؟ " قَالَ: جِئْتُ لِأَحْرُسَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَتْ: فَسَمِعْتُ غَطِيطَ (٢) رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نَوْمِهِ (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) was awake at night and she was lying beside the Prophet (ﷺ). I said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the matter?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I wish that some righteous man from among my companions would stand guard tonight." While these words were being exchanged, I heard the sound of weapons clinking. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Who is it?" He replied, "I am Sa'd bin Malik." The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What brings you here?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! I have come to guard you." Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that after that, during sleep, I heard the sound of the Prophet's (ﷺ) snoring.
