Musnad Ahmad Hadith 25092

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man came to the court of the Prophet and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am ruined." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "What happened?" He replied, "I had intercourse with my wife while fasting in the month of Ramadan." (The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Sit down," and he went and sat in a corner.) Meanwhile, another man came riding on a donkey, and he had a basket of dates with him. (He said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is my charity.") The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Where is the one who was ruined?" He stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am here." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Take this and give it as charity."
