حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ (٣) سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَيٍّ، عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ،، ، وَرُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَنَامَ، وَرُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ، وَرُبَّمَا نَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) would sometimes perform ghusl before sleeping and sometimes sleep before performing ghusl. Similarly, the Prophet (ﷺ) would sometimes offer witr before sleeping and sometimes after sleeping.
