حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَوْتِ الْفَجْأَةِ؟ فَقَالَ: " رَاحَةٌ (٢) لِلْمُؤْمِنِ، وَأَخْذَةُ أَسَفٍ لِلْفَاجِرِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about sudden death, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: For a believer, it is a relief, and for a sinner, it is a regretful punishment.
