Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ،، ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " جَعَلْتُمُونَا بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْكَلْبِ وَالْحِمَارِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَأَنَا تَحْتَ كِسَائِي بَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ، فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَسْنَحَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى أَنْسَلَّ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْقَطِيفَةِ انْسِلَالًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that you people have made us equal to dogs and donkeys. I remember a time when sometimes the Prophet (ﷺ) would pray at night and I would be lying down between him and the Qiblah, covered with a sheet, and I disliked passing in front of him, so I would slip away under the sheet.
