حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُذْرَةَ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى الرِّجَالَ وَالنِّسَاءَ عَنِ الْحَمَّامَاتِ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لِلرِّجَالِ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوهَا فِي الْمَآزِرِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that in the beginning, the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade men and women from going to the bathhouse, but later he permitted men to go to the bathhouse with a waist-wrapper.
