Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) would visit a sick person, he would pass his right hand over him and recite this supplication: "O Lord of the people! Remove his suffering, grant him healing, for You are the Healer, there is no healing except Your healing, grant such a healing that leaves no trace of illness." When the Prophet (ﷺ) was afflicted with his final illness, I would take his blessed hand and, reciting these words, would pass the Prophet’s hand over his body. I continued doing this until the Prophet (ﷺ) withdrew his hand from me and said, "O Lord! Forgive me and join me with the Highest Companion."
