حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام مُنْهَبِطًا، قَدْ مَلَأَ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَعَلَيْهِ (٢) ثِيَابُ سُنْدُسٍ مُعَلَّقًا بِهِ اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْيَاقُوتُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I once saw Jibreel descending in his original form; he had filled all the space between the earth and the sky, and he was wearing garments of sundus (fine silk) adorned with pearls and rubies.
