Ata bin Yasar says that once a man came to Aisha and began to speak disrespectfully about Ali and Ammar. Aisha said, "As for Ali, I cannot say anything (about his status and rank; that is obvious), and as for Ammar, I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that whenever a person is given a choice between two things, he should choose the better of the two paths."
