Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha that if, due to sleep overpowering him or illness, the Prophet (peace be upon him) missed the Tahajjud prayer on any day, then the Prophet (peace be upon him) would perform twelve rak'ahs during the day. And the Prophet (peace be upon him) would not stand in prayer the whole night until morning, nor would he recite the entire Qur'an in one night, and except for Ramadan, he would not fast for the complete month in any other month until he departed from this world.
