حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ: مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ فِي بَيْتِهِ؟ قَالَتْ: " كَمَا يَصْنَعُ أَحَدُكُمْ: يَخْصِفُ نَعْلَهُ، وَيُرَقِّعُ ثَوْبَهُ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

Urwah narrates that a person asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) what the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to do in his house. She replied: He did as any one of you does; the Prophet (peace be upon him) would mend his own sandals and patch his own clothes himself.
