حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْنَا آلُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بِقَائِمَةِ شَاةٍ لَيْلًا، فَأَمْسَكْتُ وَقَطَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ قَالَتْ: أَمْسَكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَطَعْتُ، قَالَتْ: تَقُولُ لِلَّذِي تُحَدِّثُهُ هَذَا عَلَى غَيْرِ مِصْبَاحٍ: قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: " إِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِي عَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّهْرُ، مَا يَخْتَبِزُونَ خُبْزًا، وَلَا يَطْبُخُونَ قِدْرًا "، قَالَ حُمَيْدٌ: فَذَكَرْتُ لِصَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ، فَقَالَ: " لَا، بَلْ كُلُّ شَهْرَيْنِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha that once, at night, the family of Abu Bakr sent a leg of goat to us. I took it, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) broke it, and this was done without a lamp. And sometimes a whole month would pass over the family of Muhammad (peace be upon him) in such a way that they would neither bake any bread nor cook any stew. Humaid says that when I narrated this hadith to Safwan bin Muhriz, he mentioned two months.
