حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا، ، الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِينِي وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى يَتَّكِئَ عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي، فَأَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ، وَأَنَا فِي حُجْرَتِي، وَسَائِرُ جَسَدِهِ فِي الْمَسْجِدَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to observe i'tikaf and would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would wash it while I was in my room, and the entire body of the Prophet (ﷺ) would be inside the mosque.
