حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي مَوْلَاةٌ لِلْفَاكِهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، تَقُولُ: " نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجِنَّانِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي الْبُيُوتِ، غَيْرَ ذِي الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ، وَالْبَتْرَاءِ، فَإِنَّهُمَا تَطْمِسَانِ الْأَبْصَارَ، وَتَقْتُلَانِ أَوْلَادَ الْحَبَالَى فِي بُطُونِهِمْ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَقْتُلْهُمَا، فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا "، حَدَّثَنَا بِهِمَا حُسَيْنٌ، (١) جَمِيعًا عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، الْمَعْنَى وَالْإِسْنَادُ عَنْ عَنْ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from killing the snakes that live in houses, except for those snakes which have a short tail or two stripes, because such snakes cause blindness and cause women to miscarry. And whoever leaves these snakes (without killing them) is not from among us. Hadith number (25039 and 25040) is also narrated from this second chain.
