حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَرْجِسٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَمُوتُ وَعِنْدَهُ قَدَحٌ فِيهِ مَاءٌ، وَهُوَ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِيهِ، فَيَمْسَحُ بِهِ وَجْهَهُ، وَيَقُولُ: " اللهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that at the time of agony (of death), I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that there was a bowl of water placed near him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept putting his hand into the bowl and wiping it over his face, and kept supplicating: "O Allah! Help me in the agonies of death."
