حَدَّثَنَا (١) عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ حُمِّلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي دَيْنًا، ثُمَّ جَهِدَ فِي قَضَائِهِ، فَمَاتَ وَلَمْ يَقْضِهِ، فَأَنَا وَلِيُّهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever from my Ummah takes on the burden of debt and strives to repay it, but dies before being able to pay it off, then I am his guardian.
