حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هُرَيْمُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ البَجَلِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: جَاءَ أعراب (١) إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالوا (٢) : أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ؟ قَالَ: وَاللهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ، قَالَ: " لَا أَمْلِكُ (٣) إِنْ كَانَ (٤) اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَزَعَ مِنْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Do you kiss children? By Allah, we do not kiss them." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I cannot help you in this matter if Allah has removed mercy from your heart (so how can I put it in?)."
