حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَيْوَةُ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ، أَنَّهُ عَرَضَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَلَى يَزِيدَ، فَعَرَفَهُ، أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَيُّمَا مَيِّتٍ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامٌ، فَلْيَصُمْهُ عَنْهُ وَلِيُّهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the ruling if a person dies and there are some fasts due upon him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: His guardian should fast on his behalf.
