حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، أَنَّ بَكْرَ بْنَ سَوَادَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ} [النساء: ١٢٣] قَالَ: إِنَّا لَنُجْزَى بِكُلِّ عَمَلِنَا؟ هَلَكْنَا إِذًا. فَبَلَغَ ذَاكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " نَعَمْ، يُجْزَى بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ (١) فِي الدُّنْيَا فِي مُصِيبَةٍ (٢) فِي جَسَدِهِ فِيمَا يُؤْذِيهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man recited this verse: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it," so he said, "If we are to be recompensed for our deeds, then we will be destroyed." When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to know of this, he said, "Yes! However, a believer is recompensed for it in this world itself in the form of physical pain and hardship."
