Qais (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reached near the springs of Banu Amir at night, the dogs there started barking. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked, "Which spring is this?" People informed her that it was the spring of Haw'ab. Upon hearing its name, she said, "I think I should return from here." One of her companions said, "You should keep going; when the Muslims see you, perhaps Allah will bring about reconciliation among them through you." She replied, "Once the Prophet (ﷺ) said to us: 'What will be the condition of one of you when the dogs of Haw'ab will bark at her?'"
