حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ "، فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ: يَرْحَمُ اللهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، إِنَّمَا قَالَ: " الشَّهْرُ يَكُونُ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A month consists of 29 days." People mentioned this to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so she said: "May Allah forgive Abu Abdur Rahman, he has made a mistake. In fact, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Sometimes a month is also of 29 days.'"
