حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، فَيُؤْذِنَهُ، ، بِالصَّلَاةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray eleven rak'ahs after 'Isha, and when morning came, he would pray two short rak'ahs, then lie down on his right side until the muezzin would come and inform the Prophet (ﷺ) of the prayer.
