حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ فِي لِسَانِي ذَرَبٌ عَلَى أَهْلِي لَمْ أَعْدُهُ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ يَا حُذَيْفَةُ، إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ "، قَالَ: فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِأَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى فَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when speaking with my family, I could not control my tongue, although this did not happen with others. I mentioned this matter to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Hudhaifa! Why are you negligent of seeking forgiveness? I myself repent and seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times every day."
