English translation

It is narrated from Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and said, "I saw in a dream that I met some people of the Book, and they said, 'You would be the best of people if you did not say: Whatever Allah wills and whatever Muhammad (peace be upon him) wills.'" The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "You used to say this phrase before, and modesty prevented me from stopping you. Now say: Whatever Allah wills, then whatever Muhammad (peace be upon him) wills."
