حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي مَالِكِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسُوقِ ذِي الْمَجَازِ، يَتَخَلَّلُهَا يَقُولُ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، قُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ تُفْلِحُوا "، قَالَ: وَأَبُو جَهْلٍ يَحْثِي عَلَيْهِ التُّرَابَ، وَيَقُولُ: أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ هَذَا عَنْ دِينِكُمْ، فَإِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ لِتَتْرُكُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ، وَلِتَتْرُكُوا اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّى، قَالَ: وَمَا يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَيْهِ، ، رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قُلْنَا: انْعَتْ لَنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ أَحْمَرَيْنِ، مَرْبُوعٌ كَثِيرُ اللَّحْمِ، حَسَنُ الْوَجْهِ، شَدِيدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ، أَبْيَضُ شَدِيدُ الْبَيَاضِ سَابِغُ الشَّعْرِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a sheikh of Banu Malik bin Kinanah that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) walking around in the market called Dhu al-Majaz. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was saying: "O people! Affirm that there is no god but Allah, you will be successful." And Abu Jahl, while throwing dust, kept saying: "O people! Do not let him mislead you from your religion. He wants you to abandon your gods and al-Lat and al-Uzza." But the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did not pay attention to him. We said to them: "Describe to us the appearance of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ)." They said: "The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was wearing two red garments, was of medium height, his body was full of flesh, his face was extremely beautiful and handsome, his hair was intensely black, his complexion was very bright and white, and his hair was thick."
