حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُوحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْكُبُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمَاءَ بِالسُّقْيَا، إِمَّا مِنَ الْحَرِّ، وَإِمَّا مِنَ الْعَطَشِ، وَهُوَ، ، صَائِمٌ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَزَلْ صَائِمًا حَتَّى أَتَى كَدِيدًا، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَأَفْطَرَ، وَأَفْطَرَ النَّاسُ وَهُوَ عَامُ الْفَتْحِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) at the place of ‘Arj pouring water over his head due to thirst or heat, and he continued to fast. Then, when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) reached the place of Kudayd, he asked for a bowl of water and drank it, and the people also broke their fast. This was the year of the conquest of Makkah.
