قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ يُسَمِّي النُّقَبَاءَ فَسَمَّى عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ فيهم (١) ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: " عُبَادَةُ عَقَبِيّ أُحُدِيٌّ. بَدْرِيٌّ شَجَرِيٌّ، وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ "،

Translation

English translation

Once Sufyan bin Uyaynah, may Allah have mercy on him, listed the names of the Naqaba, and among them he mentioned the name of Ubadah bin Samit, may Allah be pleased with him, and said that Ubadah, may Allah be pleased with him, participated in the Pledge of Aqabah, the Battle of Badr, Uhud, and the Pledge of Ridwan, and he was among the Naqaba.
