حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَدُّوا الْخَيْطَ وَالْمَخِيطَ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُلُولَ؛ فَإِنَّهُ عَارٌ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Even if it is a thread, return it, and avoid dishonesty in the spoils of war, for this will be a source of shame for the dishonest person on the Day of Resurrection.
