حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ (٢) بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّهُ: سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فِي رَمَضَانَ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ، فَإِنَّهَا فِي وَتْرٍ: فِي إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ، ، وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ تِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ، أَوْ فِي آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ. فَمَنْ قَامَهَا ابْتِغَاءَهَا إِيمَانًا، وَاحْتِسَابًا، ثُمَّ وُفِّقَتْ لَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) about Laylat al-Qadr. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It occurs in the month of Ramadan. Seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan, for it is in the odd nights—21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th, or the last night. And whoever stands (in prayer) on this night with faith and seeking reward, and attains this night, then all his past and future sins are forgiven."
