حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا قِلَابَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا كَمَا أَخَذَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ أَوْ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ (١)
Translation
English translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Khalid, he said: I heard Abu Qilabah narrating, from Abu al-Ash'ath, from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took from us a pledge just as he took from the women or from the people, and he mentioned its meaning.
