Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Sometimes I stand to lead the prayer with the intention of making it long, but then I hear the cry of a child, so I shorten my prayer so that this may not cause hardship for his mother.
