حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ أَنَّهُ: سَمِعَ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ يَقُولُ: " بَيْنَا نَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ جُلُوسٌ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْمِلُ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، وَأُمُّهَا زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهِيَ صَبِيَّةٌ فَحَمَلَهَا عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ يَضَعُهَا إِذَا رَكَعَ، وَيُعِيدُهَا عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ إِذَا قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ (١) حَتَّى قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ بِهَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting in the mosque when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) came out. The Prophet (ﷺ) was carrying Zainab’s (may Allah be pleased with her) daughter, Umamah bint Abi Al-As. Whenever the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) stood up, he would pick her up, and when he went into ruku (bowing), he would put her down.
